Seanna Harris is an interdisciplinary artist and printmaker based in Long Beach, California. Seanna earned her bachelors of art in printmaking at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Seanna has long been intrigued by forms of underwater life; an affinity that has driven her recent work as well as grounded her mission into the future.

As an environmental advocate, she believes art can only enhance interest and support for the issues that demand our attention. Analyzing her cultural relationship to the natural environment from which we reside, Seanna’s work examines the anthropocentric quality of our built environment, and challenges viewers to recognize their role in upholding that structure.

In a growing digital culture, the analog quality of printed matter has proven itself resilient. The tactile nature of printmaking as a tool for accessibility, as well as the role it serves in engaging with all forms of media is what has drawn Seanna so close to the practice. Although her interests span many different mediums, printmaking indulges her vision to work graphically as well as dimensionally. Seanna has been recognized nationally and locally for her work by The YoungArts Foundation, Scholastics Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, The Wellington Art Society, The National Association of Women Artists, and the Surdna Scholarship.
